Come along to the Hanwell and Norwood Green Orchard Community Picnic on
Saturday May 9th 2015, 12:00 noon onwards
This is a casual self-organising bring-your-own and share affair to celebrate the orchard in bloom and to continue growing the community that supports it.
How it works:
- Meet us 12:00 noon onwards in Jubilee Meadow by the wooden sheep.
- Bring food and drink to the table.
- Bring plates, cups, cutlery, folding chair or picnic blanket.
We will supply tea and coffee, milk, sugar and cork screws, and arrange for games for the children.
What if it is hot?
If it is hot and dry, please bring a watering can along. Together, we’ll have those trees watered in a jiffy and made room for the pudding!
What if it rains?
We have an alternative indoors location. We’ll send a notification out via the HANGOT members email list by 9:00 am in the event of foul weather. (Click here and subscribe to the HANGOT members list.)
How to find us
The easiest but maybe furthest access is via the Trumpers Way entrance, just 200 yards past the canal bridge on Trumpers Way. There’s road-side parking space and a level path across the meadows to the picnic location.
Alternative access is possible by crossing the top gate of the lock behind The Fox public house in Green Lane, then climb the hill and turn right after entering the meadows. This provides for a shorter distance but slightly more adventurous walk.
