Pitshanger Park Meadows

DSC_0307Continuing in our little series about local public orchards and similar projects, here’s a lovely little spot in Pitshanger Park: One of the bowling greens has been converted into the Pitshanger Park Meadows, complete with fence, arched entrance slowly but surely overgrowing with roses, and a lovely mixed flower meadow within, abuzz with insects.

We were delighted to see the meadow well used by a couple of people for conversation, contemplation and relaxation. (It is even in use under the watchful eye of the satellite.)

A great public oasis in West London, which surely enhances the lives of the local bees, bumble bees and small wildlife as much as it benefits the lives of the human visitors.
