Beginners’ Scything Training

Wednesday 15-June-2016

We meet at 10 o’clock by the Horsenden Farm and Visitor Centre at Horsenden Hill. The training will last into the afternoon, so bring your own lunch provisions, wear suitable shoes and clothes. Bring your own scythe if you have one, just don’t scare your fellow passengers when using public transport 😉

Please note this is not a free event. A £25 cash fee per person is payable there and then.

Clive Leeke is a qualified scything instructor. He will bring his collection of austrian scythes, lots of passion and a first aid kit. Scything is better for the environment and fauna compared to motorized strimmers or mowers, quieter, more rewarding and better suited for work with volunteers.

It’s going to be a great day!
